Nanominute vs Toggl Track: which is better for personal time tracking?
An honest comparison by the developer of Nanominute: Toggl Track is great for work and billing, Nanominute is built for tracking your personal time.

I'm an independent developer from Czechia. In 2025 I tracked every minute of my regular days, about 5,950 hours in total, and then quit my job to build Nanominute, the personal time tracker I wanted for myself.
Before 2025 I sometimes ended the day with no idea where my time went, so I started logging everything I did. The tools I used (Toggl Track, Timery (iOS app) and a custom iPhone Shortcut) worked, but took a lot of setup and weren't built for personal time. So I built Nanominute.
On this blog I write about what I've learned from tracking my own time:the full 2025 data, how to run a personal time audit and which tools are worth using. I'm open about the fact that I am the author of Nanominute. I use it every day, there are no ads, and I never sell your time tracking data.
